No Fry, Low Carb Zucchini Chips

This green or yellow skinned cylindrical vegetable has it all. It can be used as a snack main dish or side dish. It is equally good as an accompaniment with rice, pasta or bread. It's a good idea to consume seasonal vegetables and fruits in considerable amounts, as they can benefit your health in every aspect.
Today I am posting a  quick, easy and very healthy recipe of zucchini chips. I have used only three ingredients to make this recipe. zucchini itself is mildly flavoured and not too many ingredients need to be used to enhance flavor.

The recipe I have made today is low carb because I haven't used any bread crumbs. It's also low fat because no cheese is used. In spite of not using cheese or bread crumbs, it tastes super good and three out of five picky eaters in our family can vouch for that.

It would be unfair not to mention the nutritional profile of this versatile vegetable which is as follows:
Zucchini contains magnesium, an important component of bones. So enough magnesium means stronger bones. A large zucchini contains 58mg of magnesium.

Fibre is also an important component of zucchini it is important to incorporate fibre in your diet for colon health. Fibre adds bulk to diet so you reach satiation quickly also preventing constipation. Moreover, a diet high in fibre may help to prevent heart disease diabetes and weight gain. Each large zucchini contains3.2 grams of dietary fibre.

In addition to above- mentioned nutrients zucchini contains folate which in turn supports your metabolism. A large zucchini contains 78micrograms of folate.
Zucchini is 95 percent water making it low in calories and a good choice if you are trying to lose weight.

Most importantly zucchini contains vitamin C, vitamin A and last but not the least potassium which is good for the electrolyte balance of the body along with sodium.
Now you know the nutritional profile and the benefits of zucchini I will take you to the ingredient list.

                                                                                                       Yields: 5-6 servings

Ingredients :
5 large zucchinis
Paprika or red chili flakes according to taste
Salt, according to taste
Cooking spray

Method:

Slice zucchini in any shape, you like, Line a baking dish with parchment paper. Arrange zucchini slices on top, spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle with salt and chilli or paprika according to taste.

Place in a preheated oven at 180 degree C

Bake till crispy and light brown. I don't like my chips to be too brown but you can leave in the oven a little bit longer if you like your chips to be darker in colour.

Once zucchini chips are baked leave to cool before transferring on a serving dish.
This is a no fuss recipe in standing in front of the stove waiting for your chips to fry and you don't have to waste your time preparing egg or crumb coating for your chips. So try it and hope you will like it.
Thanks again for visiting and share with me if you have had any experience with a different zucchini recipe.
